Sisterhood
"Sisterhood is many things. It’s a warm smile on a cold and rainy day, a friendly hug, a cheerful hello… It’s all that a good and lasting friendship is, only better. It’s treasured. It’s sacred. It’s knowing that there will always be someone there for you. It’s dreams shared, and goals achieved. It’s counting on others and being counted on. It is real."
Sisterhood is a value that all Alpha Xi Deltas treasure deeply. Some of the ways we continue to build our relationships with our fellow sisters are by attending sisterhoods, chapter retreats, and formals.
Sisterhoods are twice a month get-togethers for the whole chapter and there are always fun activities planned! Some examples of past sisterhoods include making t-shirts, Zumba class, canvas painting, ice skating, trampoline park and Disney karaoke. They are a great way to take a break from studying and get to know sisters even better!
Our beautiful sisters took a trip to Furguson’s Apple Orchard last fall!
We have chapter retreats every fall and spring. This is a time to learn more about each sister through fun activities and team-building exercises.
At our retreat this December, we had a lots of fun decorating cookies, playing games, enjoying snacks, and bonding with each other!
Each spring, our chapter also has a formal where we dress up, have a nice dinner, give out awards, and dance a ton! It's also a chance for us to reunite with alumnae and hang out with members of other sorority and fraternity chapters on campus! Last May, we went to Piggy's Restaurant in La Crosse! Lots of fun, food, and dancing!
